‼️ Please be aware that changing these settings could impact how you receive crucial communications about school closures, safety alerts, health updates, and grades. We strongly recommend keeping both options enabled to ensure you don’t miss any important information.
You can customize how ReachMyTeach contacts you. By default, the educator selects the communication method. If you prefer not to receive emails or texts, you can uncheck the boxes for "send me emails" or "send me texts."
- If you deselect "send me emails," all messages, even those originally sent as emails, will be delivered as texts.
- If you deselect "send me texts," all messages, even those originally sent as texts, will be delivered as emails.
- If you opt to receive text messages through WhatsApp, you will only receive texts there, not through multiple channels.
- You can also update your preferred language. This change will affect both the language of your communications and your family portal site. Please note that your language preferences are set by your school or organization.
- If you select a different spoken language, this will be the language used when calling with an interpreter. The spoken language will default to your written language if they are the same.
- You can customize the name you’d like to receive communications under by setting your preferred name.
If your school has enabled attendance notifications, you will receive them via both email and text. Most schools also allow you to instantly excuse absences from the notification.
However, if you wish to receive attendance notifications through only one channel, you can adjust this setting. By default, both email and text are enabled. If you deselect both, you will not receive attendance notifications. We strongly advise against this, as you may miss important communications about your child’s whereabouts and safety.
