The Edit School page is a key tool for administrators, allowing you to configure various pass options for your school. You can set up pass types and locations, modify their features, update pass limits for students, adjust pass timeout settings, and designate an admin for managing substitutes.
Display Pass Options Table:
- Option Name: This is how the pass will appear for teachers and students in your school. Click the pen icon to edit the name of a pass option location.
- Count Towards Pass Limit: If this box is checked, a pass with this option will count towards a student's daily pass limit. If unchecked, it will not count towards the limit. If a student has met their daily pass limit they will not be able to create anymore passes. Sometimes schools will not count the nurse todays a daily limit.
- Add Note: If this box is checked, teachers and students can add a note when creating a pass. A note can be helpful for teacher to teacher passes by providing the other teacher the reason why a student wants to see them.
- Designated Teacher(s): Assign a teacher to receive a pass, such as for the nurse's office. Assigning a designated teacher forces passes to these locations to act like teacher to teacher passes.
- Designated Teacher Need to Approve Pass: If checked and a teacher is assigned, the pass will require the designated teacher's approval. This is helpful for if the nurse is backed up with students and insures that the nurse is actually in their office. If the nurse does not approve the pass the student is not allowed to leave the room.
- Delete Option: Allows you to remove a pass option.
- Reordering: Use this column to rearrange pass location options, which will determine their order when creating a pass.
Additional Settings:
