As an administrator, you can manage permissions for educators in your district—ranging from classroom-level access to full administrative privileges (only adjustable by an A+).
Types of Permissions You Can Assign
Educator permissions can be customized to fit their role. These include access to:

Specific classes or grade levels

An entire school

The full district
- Broadcasting

Parent-teacher conference administration

Interpreter access through Lexikeet

Attendance reports and more
You can also elevate a teacher to an Admin role, which grants visibility into all communications within their assigned school or district.
Educators can also manage their own settings—such as email integration preferences, out-of-office notifications, and messaging access—once permissions are set.
How to Update a Teacher’s Permissions

Navigate to the Student ID Card

Select the "Teacher Contacts" section.

Search for the Teacher

Locate the educator you wish to update and click the pen and paper icon next to their name.

Set Permissions
You’ll now see a list of permission options you can toggle on or off:

Admin Permissions: Grants access to all communications within their assigned school or the entire district.
- District Access: Provides access to all students and families across the district—ideal for staff who work in multiple schools but may not have enrollment at each school in the SIS (e.g., speech pathologists).
- Show All Classes: Grants access to every class within the school (or all schools, if at the district level), ideal for team leads.

Show Grade Groups: Allows access to communications by grade level. At the district level, this applies to all grades in all schools.

Show Attendance: Enables attendance access to attendance reports for any buildings assigned to the educator.

Allow Broadcasting: Lets the educator send out broadcast messages to large groups.

Allow Lexikeet Access: Enables the user to schedule or place on-demand interpreter calls via Lexikeet (requires a pay-as-you-go contract).

PTC Admin: Allows the educator to manage Parent-Teacher Conferences (if the feature is enabled).
- Manage School Enrollment RED ARROW in image: Available only for Admins with A+ access at the district level, this is where you can assign access to other schools to a user without adjusting your SIS. This will give them access to messaging families at that school.
